For residents and businesses

Road closures on 18 April 2027

If you live or work near the course, this page is for you. It will be kept current, and we would rather tell you too early than too late.

Status: proposed, not yet approved

The closures below are what we have applied for. They are subject to approval by Hammersmith & Fulham and, for Uxbridge Road and Wood Lane, by Transport for London, and to a published traffic order. Nothing here is final until that order is made — expected by February 2027. Every household and business on the course will get a letter well before race day. All TBC

Proposed closures

Which roads, and for how long

Closures are rolling wherever possible — a road reopens as soon as the last runner has passed and the course has been swept.

If you live on the course

Getting out by car. If you need to drive during the closure, please move your car outside the closed section the night before. Marshals cannot let vehicles onto a live course, including for short journeys.

Getting home. Marshals at every junction will walk you through on foot at any time. If you need vehicle access urgently, find the nearest marshal — they have a radio to control.

Emergencies. The course is designed so emergency vehicles can cross at any point. Call 999 as normal.

Deliveries and carers. Tell us in advance and we will plan an access route. Email the address opposite with your street name.

If you run a business on the course

Sunday-morning closures are chosen deliberately to be the quietest window of the week, and the roads are back by midday.

Two thousand runners and their families will be walking past your door between 08:00 and 12:00. We will list businesses on the course on this page, free, and we can help with pavement signage and an early opening — tell us and we will include you.

If a closure would seriously affect your trading, we want to hear about it during consultation, not afterwards.

Talk to us about closures (Need a contact box here)

We aim to reply within two working days. A phone number will be published for race week.
